"Schools are improving test scores and fostering their students’ competitiveness in the workforce by investing in arts education strategies, even in the toughest neighborhoods."
- President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities
Of the 1650 students that we serve in the arts, 95% of students receive full training free of charge. It costs Ifetayo $3,000 to provide one student with 42 weeks of arts training. This year alone:
We served 1500 students in our Arts and Education Program
150 of our students performed on a main-stage theater (2300 + seating)
IYE (our professional preparation award-winning Ifetayo Youth Ensemble)
members performed at venues hosted by Spence-Chapin Adoption Services, the
New York Women’s Foundation, the New York Aquarium, the Brooklyn Children’s
Museum, and the International African Arts Festival to name a few.
As we continue to grow our community of friends, we ask that you join us in
covering the cost of giving youth the gift of art! Your support will directly
impact the
lives of children and young adults in our arts programs. Here are some examples
of how your gift can help us:
$50 is equivalent to providing visual arts materials for one student for 42 wks
$100 is equivalent to purchasing one musical instrument
$200 is equivalent to purchasing 5 uniforms
$540 is equivalent to one tuition scholarship for 42 wks
$1080 is equivalent to a family (with two children) tuition scholarship for 42 wk
Give The Gift of Art
I would like to offer a one-time donation to help provide children with the gift of art!
a list of companies that match gifts/donations. If the company with which you are affiliated with participates in matching gifts, your donation could potentially be matched 1:1!
So for example, if your participation was $100 and your company matches that with $100, your original donation results in a total donation of $200!
